Going Away Gathering

I can hardly believe it will be 9 days until I leave for training for the World Race missions trip! Wrapping things up at home has been hectic, but God has been showing His love in my life through it all. One special thing I wanted before I left was a sort of going away 'party' to say goodbye to my community in GR.

It was a lot of rushing throughout the day to get everything ready in time. God gave me just the right things, just the right people and just the right timing. It was a gathering of fun conversation with some incredible people who have been a huge support to me while preparing for this new journey.

We played bible jeopardy and "Cards Christian's Like" (a Christian take on Apples to Apples or Cards Against Humanity). We also took time to worship and pray. It was touching to have my family come together for joyful fellowship with God and encouraging to know there is an army of prayer warriors rooting for me back home.
